Natalie J. Kolosci embarked on her ballet journey under the guidance of Elisa Stigler at Roosevelt University in Chicago. At a tender age of 8, she had the privilege of dancing with esteemed ballet companies such as the Bolshoi Ballet from Moscow and the Kirov Ballet from Leningrad, an experience that she cherished for the following eight years. Natalie's exceptional talent was recognized by the Artistic Director of the Bolshoi Theatre, who awarded her with a medal and invited her to serve as an assistant coach for the children's roles during their tour in Chicago.
At the age of 15, Natalie made her professional debut as she gracefully portrayed the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy with the Allegro Ballet Company, under the esteemed direction of Mr. and Mrs. Lunnon hailing from London.
For more than two decades, Natalie has been the proud owner of Natalie's School of Dance in Lake Station, where she has nurtured and guided her students. Together, they have traveled extensively throughout the United States, participating in regional and national competitions, conventions, lectures, and awe-inspiring performances. Natalie's creative abilities have also led her to choreograph and stage numerous captivating pieces for local dance centers. Additionally, she has collaborated with local park departments and South Suburban College, leaving an indelible mark on the dance community.
For an impressive span of 20 years, Natalie took on the roles of owner, director, and instructor at Civic Dance Center in Portage, Indiana. Each December, she orchestrated the enchanting production of "The Nutcracker" ballet, captivating audiences with her artistic vision. However, Natalie has recently closed the doors of Civic Dance Center to embark on a new chapter in her career. She will now be sharing her vast knowledge and expertise by teaching ballet and jazz at the esteemed Dancin' Around Dance Studio.
